How to customize Macro settings for Word 2010

Macros are known as the patterns or rules to specify the way in which the input sequence (character sequence) should be matched with the output sequence (character sequence too). In addition with macros mapping, the process which maps a specific macro with the output sequence is called as macro expansion. A user is allowed to develop macros for and in Word 2010 application, and then can implement them. There is a set of settings provided to select one among them as a Macros setting for the Word 2010 application. The setting defines the way in which macro will be treated for the Word 2010 application. Following are set of the settings: -

1. Disable all macros without notification: - All the Macros related to the Word application will get disabled and no notification will be provided, when this setting is selected as a Macro setting for Word 2010 application.

2. Disable all macros with notification: - All the Macros related to the Word application will get disabled with notification, when this setting is selected as a Macro setting for Word 2010 application.

3. Disable all macros except digitally signed macros: - All the Macros related to the Word application will be disabled except the ones which are digitally signed, when this setting is selected as a Macro setting for Word 2010.

4. Enable all macros (not recommended; potentially dangerous code can run): - All the macros will get enabled for the Word 2010 application, when this is selected as a Macro setting for Word 2010 application.

Steps to customize Macro settings for Word 2010: -

1. Open the dialog box for "Word Options" by following a step from the under mentioned ones

a. Click the button for options of "Microsoft Office" Word, and after that click on the button tagged as "Options", which is placed below the tab tagged as "Word".

b. Click the button for options of "Microsoft Office" Word, and after that click the tab tagged as "Word". Find tab tagged as "Options" in adjacent part of the tab tagged as "Word" and then click on it. You will see it placed under the section entitled as "Microsoft Tools".

2. Click on tab tagged as "Trust Center" and then from the other part adjacent to the "Trust Center" tab, click on the button tagged as "Trust Center Settings..." from the dialog box for "Word Options", which will invoke the dialog box for "Trust Center".

3. First click the "Macro Settings" tab from the left part of the "Trust Center" dialog box and then from the adjacent part of the dialog box, click the radio button of the setting you would like to use as a Macro setting for the Word 2010 application.

4. Close the dialog box for "Trust Center" by clicking on the "OK" button of the dialog box.

5. Click the "OK" button of the dialog box for "Word Options" to close the dialog box.
