How to choose special indent space using line spacing options in Word 2010

Word 2010 application is the latest version of the text editor developed by the Office developers of Microsoft Corporation. Many of the basic features mentioned in the prior Microsoft Word text editors are included in the latest version too. More importantly new various new features are also included in Word 2010. The options are categorized systematically to provide an easy access to each of them. One option for choosing special indent space using line spacing options is also included in Word 2010 under the Paragraph section. You can locate the “Paragraph” section in Home tab of the “Word 2010” ribbon. The option will allow you to select special indent space for the selected paragraph text in your word document. You can use the down mark of the selection box to open the selection list and can click on a type of special indent space from the selection list. There are three values provided by Word 2010 to for this option i.e. (none), special and hanging. The value of margins will remain intact. Follow the under mentioned steps to choose special indent space using line spacing options in Word 2010.

Steps to choose special indent space using line spacing options in Word 2010: -

1. Select the paragraph from the word document for which you would like to select special indent space and then click on “Home” tab of the “Word 2010” ribbon to invoke the sub-options mentioned in it. The option will be displayed in the “Word 2010” ribbon itself.

2. Locate the button for “Line and Paragraph Spacing” in the “Paragraph” section of Home tab located in Word 2010 ribbon. Now click on the “Line and Paragraph Spacing” button and then again click on the option “Line Spacing Options…” from the list which gets invoked, to open the “Paragraph” dialog box.

3. Click on “Indents and Spacing” and then click the down arrow mark of the selection box for “Special:” option under “Indentation” section of the “Paragraph” dialog box and then click on the type of special indent value you would like to apply on the selected paragraph text. Now click on “OK” button of the “Paragraph” dialog box to successfully apply the customization and for closing the “Paragraph” dialog box.

4. You will find that the selected paragraph is now having the special indent type as per your selected customization.
